Questions travellers ask
Good to know
Is March a good time to visit Kerala?
The heat and humidity build on the coast, so we shift time towards the hills and keep beach days for early mornings and evenings. Munnar is clear and pleasant, and Periyar's dry season gives good wildlife viewing from the boats. Attukal Pongala in Thiruvananthapuram often falls in late February or March. Rates soften from mid-March, which makes this a sensible month for a longer stay at an Ayurveda retreat.
What is the weather like in Kerala in March?
Kochi 25–33 °C, humid; Munnar 12–25 °C. Conditions differ by altitude and coast, so check the forecast for each stop a week before you travel.
Where should we go in Kerala in March?
We suggest Munnar, Thekkady (Periyar), Kovalam. Plan outdoor sightseeing before 11 am and after 4 pm.
