Is February a good time to visit Ladakh?
The best month for snow leopards, with cats often seen around Rumbak and Ulley after fresh snow. Dosmoche brings masked dances to Leh, Likir and Diskit at the end of the Tibetan year. The frozen Zanskar can be seen near Chilling. Roads to Nubra may open between snowfalls. Few visitors, crisp light and very cold nights. Pack for −20 °C on wildlife days and heated rooms at night.
