Questions travellers ask
Good to know
Is July a good time to visit Goa?
July is the heart of the monsoon. Rain falls in bursts with bright spells between, and the paddy, hills and laterite turn a deep green. It is the season for Goan monsoon cooking, long lunches and quiet roads, with resort rates often half the winter level. Beaches are for walking, not swimming, and water sports are suspended.
What is the weather like in Goa in July?
Panjim 24–29 °C, heavy rain, green. Conditions differ by altitude and coast, so check the forecast for each stop a week before you travel.
Where should we go in Goa in July?
We suggest Chandor, Loutolim and the Salcete mansions, Divar and Chorao islands, Old Goa. Choose a resort with good indoor dining and a spa; you will use both.
