Questions travellers ask
Good to know
Is May a good time to visit Ladakh?
The season opens. Seasonal hotels and camps reopen, including Nimmu House and Chamba Camp Thiksey, and the roads to Nubra and Pangong are generally clear, though passes can still see snow. Nights are cold but days are bright and pleasant. Fewer visitors than June, with snow still on the peaks for photographs. Snow can still fall on the passes, so we keep the plan flexible and carry warm layers.
