Questions travellers ask
Good to know
Is May a good time to visit Kerala?
The least comfortable month for touring: humid on the coast, with heavy pre-monsoon storms building towards the end of the month. Beach resorts start their low season and some cliff-top cafes at Varkala close. Munnar and Wayanad remain pleasant, and the first rain turns the tea hills green again. If Thrissur Pooram falls in early May, it is the one reason to be on the plains.
