The only large luxury resort in Canacona, on Rajbag beach about 5 km south of Palolem, with a golf course, a spa and a long, quiet beach at the mouth of the Talpona river. It is our base for the far south: Palolem, Agonda, Galgibaga and Cotigao.

The resort sits on Rajbag, a long beach that runs south to the Talpona river, with Galgibaga across the water beyond. Low buildings in colonial style face lawns and a large pool, and the beach in front is wide, empty and backed by casuarinas. A golf course occupies part of the grounds and the spa offers Ayurvedic and Western treatments.

Canacona has many simple beach huts and small boutique stays but very few hotels at this level, so it fills a real gap. Palolem is 10 minutes by car, Agonda 25, and the Cotigao sanctuary 20. It is 1 h 40 min from Dabolim, so we usually place it at the end of a south Goa journey.

How far is The LaLiT Goa from Palolem beach?

About 5 km, roughly 10 minutes by car. The resort is on Rajbag beach, south of Palolem and Patnem, and is much quieter than Palolem itself. We arrange a car for evenings in Palolem and for boat trips from its beach.

Which airport is closest to The LaLiT Goa?

Dabolim Airport (GOI) is about 70 km, roughly 1 h 40 min by car. Mopa's Manohar International Airport (GOX) is about 120 km, nearly three hours, so we recommend flying into Dabolim when you are staying in Canacona.

Is The LaLiT Goa good for a long stay?

Yes. The grounds are large, the beach is long and quiet, and the far south has enough day trips, from Cotigao forest to Cabo de Rama and Butterfly Beach, to fill a week. It works well as the last stop of a north-to-south journey.
