A spacious resort at Mobor, at the southern tip of the Salcete coast, set between the Sal river and the sea with lagoons winding through the gardens. It suits guests who want the far end of a long beach, room to spread out and a golf course on site.

The Leela Goa sits where the Cavelossim beach ends at the mouth of the Sal river, with water on two sides. Lagoons run through the grounds, crossed by bridges, and rooms and villas are spread out in low buildings among the palms. The beach in front is at the quiet southern end of a strip that begins at Majorda, and the resort has its own golf course, spa and several restaurants.

The position is good for slow days rather than sightseeing. Boats from the Mobor jetty run sunset and dolphin trips on the Sal, Cabo de Rama is about 30 minutes south, and Palolem an hour. We pair it with Old Goa or Chandor days for guests who want space and quiet above all.

Is The Leela Goa in north or south Goa?

It is in south Goa, at Mobor near Cavelossim, at the southern tip of the Salcete beach strip. Dabolim Airport is about 40 km, roughly an hour by car, and Panjim about 1 h 15 min.

Does The Leela Goa have a golf course?

Yes, the resort has its own golf course within the grounds, one of very few in Goa. Clubs can be hired, and early mornings are the most comfortable time to play from November to February.

Is The Leela Goa good for families?

Yes. The grounds are large and green, with pools, lagoons and a long, quiet beach, and the resort runs activities for children in season. Boat trips on the Sal river and to watch dolphins start from Mobor jetty, a short drive away.
