Six private nights for two. Three at Ahilya by the Sea, a small house hotel on the Nerul shore facing Fort Aguada, then three in a pool villa at Taj Exotica on the long beach at Benaulim. Short, chosen outings: a sunset at Aguada, Fontainhas at dawn, a river boat, a couples' spa ritual and a dinner on the sand.
A Goa honeymoon should feel private and unhurried, with good food, warm water and very little time in the car. We split the week between two very different places. Ahilya by the Sea is intimate and quiet, a handful of rooms in white villas on the water; Taj Exotica is a larger resort with space, a long beach and pool villas set apart from the main building.
Each day has one optional outing, timed for the soft light of early morning or late afternoon. Everything else, from the spa to the dinners, is arranged around you, and your driver is on call throughout.

Questions travellers ask
Good to know
Is Goa good for a honeymoon?
Yes, if you choose the right places. Quiet hotels such as Ahilya by the Sea, pool villas in the south, sunset boats and private beach dinners make Goa an easy, relaxed honeymoon, with short flights from most Indian cities.
What is the best time for a Goa honeymoon?
November to February, when the weather is dry and the sea calm. March and April are hot but quieter and cheaper. A monsoon honeymoon, from July to September, is romantic in its own way, but beach dinners and boats are not possible.
Why Ahilya by the Sea and Taj Exotica?
They balance each other. Ahilya is small, intimate and on the water, with views to Fort Aguada. Taj Exotica is larger, with a long beach, a spa and pool villas. Together they give you both privacy and space.
Can we spend all six nights in one place?
Yes. Six nights at Taj Exotica or The Leela Goa works well for couples who do not want to move. We would still arrange a day in Panjim or Chandor so you see more of Goa than the resort.
Can the beach dinner be vegetarian?
Of course. Goan vegetarian cooking is excellent, with dishes such as khatkhate, mushroom xacuti and vegetable cafreal. We brief the kitchen on your preferences and any allergies when you book.
Is north Goa too busy for a honeymoon?
Parts of it are, especially Calangute and Baga. Nerul, where Ahilya by the Sea stands, is a quiet fishing village away from the crowds, and we avoid the busy beach roads on outings.
Can we add a few days in Kerala?
Yes. Goa and Kerala make a natural pairing, with flights from Goa to Kochi via Mumbai or Bengaluru, or a scenic Konkan Railway journey. We plan both halves together.
How much does this honeymoon cost?
From about ₹2,15,000 per person, twin sharing, including the hotels, pool villa, private car, boat, spa treatment and the dinners listed. Christmas and New Year dates cost considerably more.
Do we have to do the outings?
No. Every outing is optional, and your driver is on call if you change your mind. Many couples skip a day's plan in favour of the pool. We only ask a day's notice for the boats and the beach dinner.
