Is Ranakpur on the way from Jodhpur to Udaipur
Yes, with a short detour. Ranakpur is about 160 km from Jodhpur and 95 km from Udaipur. The temple usually opens to non-Jain visitors from midday, which fits the drive well. We leave Jodhpur after breakfast to reach the temple around midday, spend an hour or so inside, take lunch nearby, then cross the Aravalli to Udaipur. Temple hours can change, so check current status before you travel.
Can I visit Kumbhalgarh and Ranakpur on the same drive
Yes, but it is a long day. To see both properly, stay one night at Kumbhalgarh, visiting Ranakpur on the way in and the fort at sunset. Ranakpur usually opens to non-Jain visitors from midday, which suits a morning start from Jodhpur. The next morning, the drive on to Udaipur is shorter and runs through the Aravalli hills. A night at Jawai is another good way to split the road.
